School Council 2025

A “fantatstico, magnifico, eccellente” evening was had by all who attended the sold out BSPS Trivia Night on Saturday night! Eleven teams, including our staff table “Critical Drinkers”, battled it out to see who the biggest trivia heads were, but ultimately “The Al Dente Chaps” were victorious, no doubt thanks to buying a few answers in the later rounds. Sunday sport commitments proved harder than most weeks, with some sore heads being nursed around the footy ovals and soccer pitches of Melbourne’s north. A big congratulations to our winners:
- Best dressed team – Pink Pony Clubbers
- Best dressed individual – Tie: Phil & Steve
- Best team name – Molto Bene and the Jets
- Overall winners – The Al Dente Chaps
- School DJ auction winner – Chris
A massive thank you to everyone who made this event a huge success. Not only was it a great night out for the community, it also raised approximately $4,500 for our school! Thank you to:
- Our magnetic hosts Dan & Pete
- Our hardworking bar staff Brendan & Tristan
- Mary, Vicky and Sanae for their administrative support
- The crew of parents that helped with the set up and pack up, including Kelley and Chris for organising the lighting so our hall didn’t feel like 7-11 at 5am
- Our sponsors for the evening: Compass Pizza, Matsumoto, and Brunswick Communities for Nature (courtesy of Rowan Ewing).
And before it ruins any more relationships, Hungry Jack’s AND McDonald’s do indeed both have apostrophes in their logos. For the record, our error made no difference to the outcome, as the winning team was clear of second place by 3 points.
