Wellbeing Wrap Up

Happy end of Term 3! I hope everyone takes a moment to reflect on their successes throughout the term and enjoys a well-deserved, relaxing holiday. Please have a read of a wellbeing update.

Character Strengths- Over the last month, our students have been learning about and actively demonstrating the character strengths of optimism, compassion, bravery, and loyalty.

Respectful Relationships- In Wellbeing lessons, students explored stress management strategies and reflected on how to stay positive in challenging situations.

TRIBES- During TRIBES, students learned how to be active bystanders, respond appropriately to bullying, and enhance their self-control through a series of engaging games and activities.

Classroom visit- What a thrill to conduct a wellbeing lesson in the amazing 3E. We read a book, Piggybook by Anthony Browne, about being an active family member and played a mindfulness game. I was very impressed by the way every class member shared an answer and the way the students played the game so respectfully.  Please find attached some student voice about the lesson.

Sarah - the book was about treating our family with respect. A job I help with at home is feeding my cat.

Aren- the message was about helping your family. It's important because so they don't get too tired. I help with cooking.

Liam- the message or the book is that being lazy can mean other people with work can get featured. I fed and wash my dog.

Lina- we played a mindfulness game. Mindfulness is concentrating on right now, not before and after.
