What a great Term 3 it has been at Doncaster Primary School. I would like to thank all of the students, staff and families for their continued hard work, friendliness and support to make our school a wonderful environment for teaching and learning.
This year, we will be awarding our first ever House Cup Trophy to the house that scores the most points across all house events over the year. As it stands, the house points currently sit at:
4th place – 487 points – Bunjil
3rd place – 494 points – Walert
2nd place – 532 points – Marram
1st place – 571 points – Gawan
There will be many opportunities for students to earn points for their house in Term 4.
We have had many enjoyable events this term and this week I spoke with students across the school about some of their highlights. As you can see, it has been a busy and successful term.
Doris PW – My favourite thing from this term was when we ate the sprinkle bun to celebrate 100 days of school. It was delicious!
Ryan 1G - My favourite activity this term was a pretest we did in Maths. I liked it because I think Maths is easy.
Farhan 2F - I really liked the Book Fair because I liked looking at the books and all the great things you could buy.
Sophia 3P - My favourite thing from Term 3 was when we made animal paintings in Art. I got to pick my favourite animal and I could paint the background really pretty.
Alfred 4J - House Athletics was really fun. You get some fresh air and sun in your face and it’s exciting competing with your friends. It also helps you to be fit!
Anna 5A - I really liked District Athletics. I competed in the 1500m and 4x100m relay. It was fun competing against other schools.
Kiki 6G - The highlight of the term was Water Safety Day. I really like swimming and it was more fun than I expected because we practised life saving skills.
Thank you for a wonderful term and I hope you have an enjoyable Term 3 break. I look forward to seeing everyone in Term 4.
