Leadership Report

This week we have been celebrating our School Services Officers (SSOs). This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contributions our SSOs make to our school community.

Our SSOs play a crucial role in supporting both students and staff, ensuring that our school runs smoothly and efficiently. From assisting in classrooms to managing administrative tasks, their dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. Throughout the week, we have been hosting various activities to show our gratitude and celebrate their efforts.

As we celebrate SSO Week, we also have much to look forward to in the coming weeks. Our annual Sports Day is just around the corner, promising a day filled with fun, teamwork, and healthy competition. We encourage all students to participate and showcase their talents.

Additionally, our school choir is preparing for an exciting performance. This event will highlight the musical talents of our students and provide an opportunity for them to shine on stage.

We are also excited to announce the Year 6 Market Day, where our Year 6 students will demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills by creating and selling products. This event is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about business and teamwork.

Planning for the 2026 school year is well underway. We kindly remind parents and guardians that friendship requests are due back by Friday, 29th August. This information is crucial for us to plan accurately and ensure a supportive learning environment for all students.

I am pleased to announce the reappointment of Sonia Magon for a further 12 months. Sonia has been leading our focus on numeracy, and we are thrilled to have her continue her excellent work in 2026. Her dedication and expertise have greatly benefited our teachers and students, and we look forward to her continued contributions.

The annual parent survey is underway and closes midnight Sunday 7th September. For more information, please visit the department’s website.

This survey aims to get your views on:

  • what we’re doing well

  • where we can improve

  • what’s important to you as a parent/carer.

Your answers won't identify you or your child, and only collated feedback is provided to our school.

You should have already received a link to the survey via email or SMS. Reminder emails are currently being sent to you unless you have completed a survey or have unsubscribed.

Please take the time to complete the survey, as this is valuable information for our school. If you cannot find the previously sent link, then please use this one:

Please be reminded of the upcoming school closure day on Friday, 5th September, and the pupil-free day on Monday, 8th September. Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) will be open on both days to support families who require care for their children.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. I look forward to celebrating these special events with all of you.

Warm regards,

John Iannunzio
