The students in S39 have made a fantastic start to Term 3, diving into their learning with enthusiasm and dedication. They are enjoying their final year of primary school as they learn and play together.
The students began a new novel study this term, reading the book Once by Morris Gleitzman. They were very excited to be able to meet the author himself on Thursday, the 7th of August.
We were able to ask him some questions and attentively listened to the presentation he gave about his writing career.
In Mathematics, students are learning to add and subtract fractions. Throughout the unit, they are learning to explain their answers and determine why they carry out certain calculations. Going deeper into mathematical concepts relates to our Pakenham Springs Maths Values of reasoning and understanding.
The students have enjoyed all the special events so far this year that are available to them. They are already thinking about High School transition and the exciting things that await them this year and into their future schooling.
