Ryan’s Rambling

Dear Families,

The adrenaline is still coursing through my veins as I write this! After returning home from our amazing School Production, I am still filled with excitement and appreciation.

What a fantastic evening! In front of a packed house over 600, our community came together to enjoy the epic tale of Dancing Feet at Dana Street. Over many months, our students dedicated hours and hours to practice and rehearsal.  Our staff had also spent incredible amounts of extra time preparing props, writing scripts and making sure everything went smoothly. I can’t help but mention the amazing work of our students! It was truly wonderful to see them confidently perform on stage in front of so many people.  I am so very proud of them. Thank you to our amazing families for carving out time to attend our School Production.  Thank you so much to those many families who helped out with sewing and creating costumes for our students.

A special mention to Claudine and Stella. Claudine brought such passion and dedication to the role of Production Director this year and I truly appreciate everything she has done to make the show such a success. Also, to Stella, who has dedicated so much time to prop making. The quality of our props this year has been nothing short of exceptional, and Stella has been patiently working away to create them.

All in all, a truly memorable evening and testament to our amazing school community. I am, again, reminded of just how fortunate I am to be part of Dana Street Primary School.

Next week, our students will be working with Stephanie Catledge to begin the design for our school mural. I am hoping that people have been able to discuss the two provocations from Engoori:

Who are we?

What keeps us strong?

If you haven’t yet, please ask these questions as a family. Who knows what might be brought up. I am excited that this project will get underway next week. More details soon.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Ryan 😊
