Final Centre Pass for the Winter Season
We’re heading into the final round of the winter season, and what a season it’s been! From intercepts and tight contests to brilliant feeds and shooting under pressure, our players have shown incredible skill, teamwork, and determination.
Years 2–5 will play their final matches on Friday, 29 August and Saturday, 30 August. A huge congratulations to all teams for a fantastic season of development and fun on court!
Year 6 teams who’ve finished in the top three will take the court for finals on Saturday, 6 September, with the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 September for those who progress through the prelim.
To the teams still chasing a finals spot from this weekend’s game, this is your time to shine! Step onto the court with purpose, take control of every centre pass, contest every ball, and play with grit from the first whistle to the last. Back yourselves and good luck!
Secondary teams who’ve earned a finals spot will compete across 6, 13 and 20 September, depending on their success in the semi-finals, preliminary finals, and grand finals.
To all other teams, well done on a season full of growth, resilience, and netball spirit. You've shown determination through every quarter, adapted to challenges, and supported each other both on and off the court. Whether it was your first season or your final one, you've contributed to a Club culture we’re proud of.
We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you all at our end-of-season events on Monday, 1 September and Wednesday, 3 September.
Let’s wrap up the season with strong leads, confident play, and full-court effort. Whether you're stepping into finals or finishing your last game, bring the hustle and finish with pride!

Spring Netball – Team Registrations Now Open
Spring Netball is just around the corner, and we’re excited to get things underway! Players are encouraged to start organising their teams now, with registrations due by Monday, 1 September.

To register your team, please email netball@johnxxiii.edu.au with your team name for nomination and the team manager/person.
Please note:
- There is no grading for spring teams
- Teams are based on own selection amongst peers
- There is no training for games
- It is more of a fun social competition
- Each team is required to supply an umpire.
The John XXIII Netball Club has a large group of experienced umpires who officiate during the winter season. These umpires can be contacted and requested for your team allocations if needed.
