Children should  bring completed projects to the school hall.  We can’t wait to see the wonderful variety of projects on display at our Science Fair, which will be held in the school hall on Tuesday, 12 August from 8:30–9:30am and again from 3:00–5:00pmFamilies are warmly invited to attend.  Every participant will receive a certificate and have the chance to share their discoveries with fellow students throughout the day.

Book Week 2025

Book Week 2025 will be celebrated across Australia from Saturday 16 to Friday 22 August, with the theme “Book An Adventure.” The Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has chosen the theme "Book an Adventure" to encourage children to explore new worlds through stories and celebrate the joy of reading.

The official artwork has been beautifully created by renowned Australian illustrator Jess McGeachin, to support this theme.  At Holy Rosary, our week-long celebration of Australian literature will culminate on Friday 22 August with a series of events. The day will begin at 9:10am with our much-anticipated Book Parade, where students are invited to dress as their favourite book characters—or perhaps wear a costume inspired by this year’s theme! (Staff costumes are currently top secret, but we promise it will be worth the wait!)

Following the parade, families are warmly invited to wander through our Gallery Walk (through the school corridors), a vibrant showcase of displays inspired by the 2025 shortlisted titles.

We look forward to celebrating with you.   Happy Book Week 2025!
