Dear LPS Community,
NAPLAN 2025: Celebrating Persistence, Achievement and Growth
Our Grade 3 and 5 students have been showing great determination as they take on their NAPLAN assessments. With writing and reading now completed, they will soon tackle Conventions of Language and Numeracy. While some aspects of these assessments may be challenging, our students have displayed an impressive level of persistence—one of the key traits in our Learner Profile.
At Lysterfield Primary School, we value the process of learning just as much as the
outcomes. Our focus remains on helping students develop strong knowledge, understanding, and skills that will serve them well beyond NAPLAN. Through engaging and evidence-based teaching approaches, we continue to support students in building confidence as learners, no matter the challenge.
We are incredibly proud of the way our students have approached these assessments with a positive mindset and a willingness to try their best. As a school, NAPLAN data helps us to track students’ growth from Year 3 to 5, examine trends to inform professional learning for our staff, examine researched based practices which impact student learning as well as plan for our Annual Implementation Plan.
Thank you to our teachers for their ongoing dedication and to our families for their encouragement and support. Together, we are fostering a school culture where persistence and growth are always celebrated.
