From the Principal

Alumni networks can offer a ready-made support system where future graduates can find mentors, peers, and advisors who understand their challenges and can offer encouragement and advice. The College is keen to support the building and nurturing of professional relationships, where new opportunities can, of course, eventuate. If nothing else, valuable insights can be gained, along with accessing a well-established support system available to lean on if the need arises.
It is with this in mind that the College held our second John XXIII College Alumni Connect event on Wednesday night. The finance-themed event at Pitcher Partners Wealth followed our law-themed event held at Corrs Chambers Westgarth last year. Wednesday night’s event enabled Alumni and interested Year 12 students the opportunity to connect with graduates from 1980 to 2024 and served as an excellent opportunity for attendees to broaden already developed networks and establish new connections.
I extend my thanks to Christian Golding (1994) for generously hosting our guests on the night and for providing his own insights into the outlook for the WA economy and emerging global trends. Thanks are also extended to Lisa Martella and Sue McLennan from our College Advancement team for their organisation of the evening and we look forward to further industry-based events later in the year.
Given that today is Harmony Day, and in support of our student leaders who are working so hard to realise our vision of inclusion, we pray:
We give thanks for the diversity that fills our world with richness and beauty.
Today, we celebrate the many cultures, traditions, and stories that make us
unique, and yet bind us together in our shared humanity.
Help us to open our hearts and minds to one another, embracing differences with
respect, kindness, and love. May we build a world where understanding prevails
over division, and where peace grows in every community.
Guide us to live with compassion, to treat every person with dignity, and to create
spaces where all feel seen, heard, and valued.
May our actions reflect Your love, and through them, may we create harmony in
our world.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord and with the intercession of our
founders.
