Gospel Message - Guide Us Through Darkness

This Sunday we celebrate the second week of Lent.

In Sunday’s Gospel we hear how Jesus was transfigured with light on the mountain and God said, “This is my Son. Listen to him!”

God has given us Jesus - who brings light into our lives through his word

and promises us that we need never feel alone or in the dark.

God is always present in our lives when we are feeling sad, lonely and hopeless.

Prayer:

Loving God,

Help us to remember your promise to be with us always.

You will guide us in our lives and bring us closer to you.

In this special time of Lent, we pray that you light up our lives and show us the true path.

Strengthen us in our dark times and help us to trust in you with all our hearts.

We ask this prayer through Jesus, your Son.
