7D Referendum

This week in 7K Humanities, we've recently been focusing on referendums, the constitution and democracy. We've learnt that the 1967 referendum was about how we should include Indigenous Australians in census, and that 90% of Australians voted ‘Yes’, making it one of the most successful referendums in Australian history.

Our class will cast votes next Tuesday for our own referendum on the topic:  'Should Australia be made a republic?' Everybody in 7K is partaking in this activity by creating ballots and voting in our referendum. Also, special roles were given out and are expected to be performed to the best ability. These activities have helped our class learn the evolutionary history of Australia’s constitution and government as a nation. - Tess , Angelina, and Daphne, 7K
