Neurodiversity Celebration Week 17 March - 23 March

https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/

Each individual person experiences and interacts with the world around them, in their own unique ways. By celebrating these differences we can reshape perceptions, improve support and empower neurodivergent people to reach their full potential. Neurodiversity is a non medical term used to convey the idea that there is natural variation in the way that individual brains function.

The neurodiversity umbrella covers but is not limited to:

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Intellectual disabilities, Mental health conditions and Tourette’s Syndrome.

For more information please see health direct

https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/neurodiversity-and-neurodivergence

Other dates to celebrate are:

  • World Autism Day on Wednesday April 2nd, 2025.
  • International Day of People with Disability on December 3rd, 2025.

Being kind and inclusive makes a better world for everyone.  We are very proud of the sunflowers that grow in our garden (thanks to Julie Meseha and our gardening students).

Sunnyside Kindergarten celebrates 80 years...

We cannot wait to be involved in this wonderful celebration!!
