Year 8 News

A brilliant beginning to Term 1 for Year 8's.
As we move through the first term of the year, we are incredibly proud of our Year 8 students at Ballarat High School for the fantastic start they have made. It's been an exciting few weeks, with plenty of energy and enthusiasm as they navigate through their new space in the North Wing of the school. The move to this area has been a great opportunity for students to become more familiar with their surroundings, build new routines and develop a strong sense of community within their year level.
Our Year 8s have shown remarkable resilience and a positive attitude as they adapt to their new environment and we couldn't be more thrilled with how they've embraced the change. They've quickly found their way around the school, building connections with their peers and teachers while making the most of their new learning spaces.
In addition to settling into their new classrooms, Year 8 students have also been showcasing their school spirit and determination at this year's annual Swimming Carnival. It was heartening to see so many students participate with such enthusiasm and pride. Their energy, teamwork and sportsmanship truly stood out and they made a big splash in the competition!
Looking ahead, we are excited to see our Year 8s continue this positive momentum as they prepare for the upcoming Athletics Carnival. With the same enthusiasm and drive that they’ve shown so far, we’re confident that they will continue to shine in this event and show the true spirit of Ballarat High School.
It’s been a fantastic start to the year, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of Term 1 holds for our incredible Year 8 students. Keep up the amazing work, Year 8!
