VET Success

In 2025, an impressive 286 senior school students from Ballarat High School have embarked on their Vocational Education and Training (VET) journey, gaining hands-on experience and industry-recognised qualifications across a variety of fields.

Our students have the opportunity to participate in VET programs either through our internal school programs or by accessing a wide range of options offered through the Highland Local Learning and Employment Network (HLLEN) Cluster. From plumbing, engineering and automotive to the creative industries of dance and fashion design, our students are exploring diverse career pathways while developing valuable skills.

All students are off to a fantastic start, learning practical, job-ready skills that will support their transition into the workforce or further education. These programs not only provide a nationally recognised qualification but also open doors to apprenticeships, traineeships and employment opportunities in their chosen industries.

We commend our VET students for their enthusiasm and dedication and look forward to seeing them grow in their respective fields throughout the year!
