We wanted to inform you that TeamKids has updated its Terms and Conditions, specifically regarding the safety of children in our care. We have communicated this update to all families using our Before and After School Care services.
What’s Changing?
Effective from Day 1, Term 1 2025, a $5 No Show Fee (in addition to the session fee) will apply for After School Care bookings if we are not made aware a child will not be attending. This measure ensures we can continue prioritising children’s safety while managing the necessary checks when an absence is unaccounted for.
Why This Change?
When a child is booked but does not attend without prior notification, our staff must undertake additional safety protocols, including:
- Contacting parents/guardians
- Communicating with the school
- Conducting a search of the school grounds
- Engaging emergency services if necessary
These steps require significant time and resources, impacting our ability to provide the best possible care for all children. The No Show Fee helps ensure families remain accountable for timely cancellations, allowing our team to focus on supervising children who are present.
How Families Can Avoid the No Show Fee
To avoid this charge, families must cancel bookings as follows:
- Before 2:00 PM on the day of care: Cancel online via their TeamKids account.
- After 2:00 PM on the day of care: Call the onsite team before the session starts to notify their child will not be in attendance.
