Lights, Camera and a whole lot of Green
The cheers could have outdone the Oscars as the parts were announced for our upcoming musical production of Shrek. Excitement and maybe even a few dramatic gasps filled the room as the cast list went up. A huge thank you to Ian and Laura for their time and effort in auditions. It's going to be a show to remember, and very soon, the school will be buzzing with all things green. Please check the School Production page for further information.
Learning Showcase
We’re launching a brand new initiative to give you a peek into what’s happening in our classrooms. Every fortnight, we’ll be showcasing learning from different year levels, specialist areas, and learning teams. This is a great way to see what your child is up to and celebrate their achievements.
So grab a cuppa, have a read, and enjoy all the wonderful things happening at GRPS
Use of Student Toilets
We kindly remind you that our student toilets are designated for children's use only. For the safety and comfort of our students, we request that adults and secondary school students refrain from using these facilities during school hours. If necessary, there are adult toilets available nearby in the main building for your convenience.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and supportive environment for all our students.
School Council: Declaration of Elected Members
Following a successful School Council nomination process where the number of nominations matched the vacancies available, no election was required for the establishment of our 2025 School Council. I am pleased to declare the following nominees duly elected and announce the School Council for 2025.
Welcome to our new members:
- Parent members (2-year terms): Christian Miran, Ryan Deith, Samuel O’Bryan
- Parent members (1-year term): Chris Barrell, Simon Barber
- Department of Education members: Karen Rouda, Melissa Roberts, Andy MacCartney, Peta Murray, Antonia Bucella
- Department of Education parent member: Natasha Weekes
- Minute taker: Jackie Kapoor
They will join our standing parent members: Richard Bailey, Mark Breadmore, and Jake Nancarrow (re-elected).
I would like to extend sincere thanks to our outgoing School Council members, Julia Dashwood, Kristian Tkatchenko, and Elizabeth Kar Yuen Ho, for their dedication and contributions to our school community. Your time, effort, and commitment have been greatly appreciated.
Exciting Canteen Upgrades
Our canteen is looking better than ever.
Thanks to the dedication of our amazing Canteen Manager, Nicole, and the support of our school community, we’ve been able to make some fantastic upgrades.
With canteen profits from 2024, along with the help of parent volunteers and families using our canteen, we have given the space a mini makeover, including fresh paint, new cupboards, and, most recently, a brand-new oven.
Our previous oven door was no longer closing properly, so this new addition will make a huge difference in preparing meals efficiently.
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to making these improvements possible.
