A message from the Principal Team

Hello to the Armstrong Creek School Community,

(Principal Jessica Kelly)

We have moved past the half way mark of Term 1 and the progress of our school continues to amaze me and the committment of our students, staff and families has been very impressive. This week we started our Naplan testing for Year 3 and Year 5 and the students have adapted well to the change in their learning schedule. Naplan isn't the only way we measure student growth and achievement in learning at ACS but it is a National testing tool we like to look at.

From Monday 17 March until the end of Term 1 we will be trialing some new gate opening times across the morning and afternoon to reduce the congestition of students gathering of a morning. We look forward to seeking your feedback throughout the trial. Thank you to School Council for your support in trialing this.

We would like to extend an invite to you to for Term 2 to meet the 2025 Principal team. We will be running small workshops on what you would like us to know about ACS from a family perspective and use this opportunity to strengthen our partnership with families. We will run a series of these across two weeks in Term 2 and we look forward to sharing the details with you next fortnight.

Sadly we have had some incidents involving some poor car behaviour around the school at pick up and drop off times from our community. We require famillies to follow the parking directions and avoid illegal stopping in bus zones, across access points of driveways and the use of reserved car parks. If everyone is able to follow the directions it will make a safer school community for our students and visitors. Please contact one of our friendly administration team if you are unsure of what you are able to do.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend.

See you next week :)
