Academic Care and Wellbeing

Committee 4 Wagga
Committee 4 Wagga commenced the tenth edition of the Wagga School Leaders Program last week. This year’s cohort exhibited loads of energy and are very excited about the 5 months ahead of them in the program. Engaged in the program this year are Hayley Haase, Siyanda Thomas and Sofia Metcalfe.
The program’s objective is to develop young, aspiring high school students into positive, successful ambassadors for the city. Students participating in the program attend seven modules over seven days across the first half of the year, with each module of the curriculum designed to achieve different learning outcomes.

International Women's Day
On Friday March 7, Lily Stansfield Smith and Isabel Edmunds attended Dr Joe McGirr’s celebration for International Women’s Day. Women in Business Wagga Wagga facilitated a panel discussion around the gender inequity in the role of carers. It was an enlightening conversation from a diverse panel which affirmed the role women take in caring for others, while highlighting areas in need of development.
We were grateful for the opportunity to be involved and we congratulate Vickie Burkinshaw, who was awarded the 2025 Wagga Wagga Local Woman of the Year.
House Breakfasts
Our tradition of celebrating a House BBQ Breakfast continues this Term and we are grateful that so many families have been able to join us at the Pear Tree Cafe to share a meal and enjoy each other's company. Our staff and senior students have done an amazing job of preparing breakfast for us and we look forward to our Carroll and Rosarie House BBQ’s next week.
