Ride2School Day

Friday 28th M

Hola parents/caregivers,

Get ready to ride! Ride2School Day is just around the corner, taking place on Friday 21st March (week 8). On this day, we encourage all students to ride to school using their bike, scooter, or any other riding vehicle. To make the day even more exciting, we invite students to decorate their bikes and scooters, as our sports leaders will be selecting and rewarding the best-decorated ones during assembly!

On arrival, please park your bikes and scooters in the designated area at the bottom oval. There will be cones along the fence marking each class's spot (e.g., FA Katherine) to help keep things organised. Please check the school map below to see where the bike parking area is, so you know where to park your child’s bike in the morning. This is important as classes will begin the Bike Parade from their designated spots.

The Bike Parade will start at 9am, with students riding along a marked route. The parade area will be outlined with cones, so we kindly ask parents to leave the path clear for students to ride safely.

Riding to school is not only fun but also has many benefits. It helps students stay active and healthy, improves focus and energy levels for the school day, and promotes independence and confidence. Plus, fewer cars around the school mean less traffic and pollution, making our community a safer and greener place.

We can't wait to see everyone riding to school and showing off their creative decorations!

Stay tuned for more updates next week.

Yours faithfully,

Raul - HPE Teacher
