Year 4/5/6

We've had an exciting and busy time in our class recently. Our creative arts project, Crazy Critter, has been a major focus. This project beautifully combines our work in science, specifically the living world and adapting to survive. The students have shown incredible creativity and understanding in bringing their critters to life, using crayon resist techniques in their artworks, inspired by Henri Rousseau’s artwork. We are pleased to announce that our Crazy Critters project will be displayed this weekend at the Tumbarumba Show.

CA3-VIS-01: Makes artworks in intentional ways to represent ideas about their world, and explains ways artists are influenced by contexts and how artworks are interpreted by audiences.
ST3-4LW-S

In maths, we've been working hard on addition, subtraction, and decimals. The children have been making great progress and are becoming more confident with each lesson. Our work aligns with the following NSW syllabus outcomes:
MA2-AR-02: Completes number sentences involving addition and subtraction by finding missing values.
MA3-AR-01 selects and applies appropriate strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems
During Lent, we've challenged the children to consciously follow in the footsteps of Jesus through prayer and consciously adhering to our baseline behaviour: Be Fair, Show Care. We hope the students will embrace this concept with no need for acknowledgment, demonstrating their commitment to these values.
We've also had some wonderful social moments, celebrating the birthdays of Rose, Kasey, and Maya. Additionally, we had a heartfelt farewell for Paxton, who will be greatly missed by all of us.
