Year 2/3

Years 2/3 have been greatly enjoying their tennis lessons. We have practiced our forehand, backhands, serves, volleys and overhead smashes. All of these shots are tricky but we are getting the hang of pointing at the ball and swinging through. We hope to enter two teams in the Todd Woodbridge Cup later in the year.

After tennis, on our way back to school, we have been stopping in at the Town Library to spend some time exploring the books on offer. I have been pleased to see a few children borrowing from the library, but remind parents that they need to return the books, if they don’t come in on a Friday. Many children have said that they can borrow “without their card.” If you are happy for your child to borrow “without a card,” please let me know. The pleasure that our class gets from these short visits is heartwarming.
