Hi all
Last Wednesday, our two swimming captains travelled to Oakleigh to compete in the Kingston Division Swimming Carnival. Sophie B and Sam M had their biggest supporters (their parents) poolside to cheer them on. In very good fields, they both swam well with Sam finishing 2nd in the breaststroke.
Next Friday, our Year 6s will be competing in the Lightning Premierships for the Summer sports program. Teams that win here go on to the division level. It is an all day event so make sure the kids bring their hats, drink bottles, snacks and lunch. Crickey is played at Beazley Reserve, kickball at Bonbeach Baseball Club, bowls at the Chelsea Bowling Club and Volleyball and Basketball at Springers in Keysbourough.
In P.E., our entire school has been skipping. It's a great activity to get involved in as it improves all sports with increased stamina, strength and footwork. We are also participating in cooperative games, such as the "Spider Challenge" pictured below. This helps us get to know each other better in Term 1 and teaches us how to listen and share ideas as a team. Here are 8 students working in unison trying to lower a ball onto a cone.
Yours in Sport
