Year 3 - Middle Unit

In our Inquiry unit this term, the Year 3 students have been exploring ancient Australia. Over the past few weeks we have been examining megafauna - did you know that many megafauna fossils were discovered at Lancefield Swamp? This week the Year 3 students began to think about what Dja Dja Wurrung land might have looked like prior to European settlement. They have demonstrated their thinking through landscape drawings/mini murals.
The Year 3 students have had the opportunity to dive into their creativity by designing and constructing their own castles during their art sessions. The students have used a variety of materials to bring their structures to life and will soon begin to add the finishing touches. We can’t wait to see these amazing masterpieces!
