We began our Writing Journey at Sacred Heart school this week by tracing the letters of the alphabet, really focusing on the direction of the arrow to form our letters correctly.

Well done, Ella and Michael!

Ella and Michael, who received a certificate for their outstanding efforts over the past three weeks. To be honest, it could have gone to a bunch of children who are working so well in Foundation.

Each assembly, two certificates are given; one for Academic excellence and the other for the Good Samaritan award. Ella has been an attentive listener and participant in all floor activities and thoroughly deserved her award. Michael has been a great example of a Good Samaritan over the past few weeks, making sure everyone on the class is feeling safe and welcome. He has reached out to many of his classmates.

They also have been chosen as the SRT (Student Representative Team) members for Foundation at Sacred Heart. They will attend meetings and bring back information to their peers. Exciting times ahead!!

Year 4/5 and Year 5/6

On Tuesday, the Year 4/5 and Year 5/6 students enjoyed an exciting day at Don Bosco! As part of our Inquiry topic on Wellbeing, students took part in a variety of fun activities designed to promote team building and strengthen friendships. From friendly table tennis matches to bouncing on trampolines, shooting hoops in basketball, and even getting to pet some adorable bunnies, the day was filled with laughter and collaboration. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to connect with their peers, develop important social skills, and have a great time in a supportive environment.

On year 6 Leadership Day, we did activities that included communication, teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving. We all had tons of fun doing four activities. The first activity was a cool quiz which in the end, we found out what we were most good at - like humor, love or leadership. The second activity was an activity where we imagined that there were five people on a hot air balloon and that we had to take off two people so that the rest could live. It was fun to see all the wacky ideas that the groups came up with. The third activity was meditation. It was great because we did it after a long time outside so we could relax and calm down. The last activity we did was an activity where we had to go around and ask others questions.   Ali and Gail

On Tuesday,  the year 4/5 and 5/6 went to Don Bosco.and had a really fun time. We went and I played Ping Pong with Sai. Sai started off by winning the points 5 - 2, but then I made a comeback and destroyed him 21 - 7! After that, I played football with the boys and I tried to score against Ali but he blocked most of my shots, but at least I had a good time which is the best thing. They also bought out at least ten bunnies at Don Bosco to pat and then they also bought out the mother of all the bunnies and I got to pat the cute bunnies too.   Massie
