Community Volunteering

Teachers Share Volunteering Experiences

On Monday the 17th of February in community engagement and volunteering we were lucky enough to have 4 teachers from around the school visit our class and share their volunteering experiences. Mr Moon, Ms Flanigan, Mr Cadd and Mrs Westblade sat at the front of the class while being asked questions about their volunteering.

We were lucky enough to hear lots about the different types of volunteering each teacher has done. Mr Moon is volunteering at the Apex Club and his role is currently to organise the Apex hall, keep it in good shape and monitor the booking for the hall. Ms Flanigan is volunteering at the Echuca Basketball Association as Vice President. Mr Cadd is currently volunteering at Rich River Golf Club and his role is to do all the handicaps. Mrs Westblade works with Ambulance Victoria and goes to meetings with them. During COVID, Mrs Westblade would call the Ambulance officers who were sick with COVID and have a chat with them.

Community engagement and volunteering is a very interesting elective and it's extremely fun!
