College Values award winners 

Well done to the following students for receiving Values awards during the first few weeks of the year.

Year 10 Bakers shop

Year 10 Bakers shop made Focaccias this week! They learnt how to create a 'slurry', to produce some terrific light and fluffy Focaccia bread.

 

Student spotlight 

Scarlett Abbott – for making the Greater Western Victorian Rebels under 16 squad

When did you start playing footy? 

I started playing in Auskick and have loved it ever since. 

 

What is training with the Rebels like? 

I really enjoy it and I have met lots of new friends through it. 

 

Are you excited about the opportunity? 

Yes I am very excited

 

Do you hope to make the AFLW someday? 

I just hope to make the final team of the under 16s and play a game with the Rebels 

 

Adele Joseph – For being a ball girl at the Australian Open and being nominated as a finalist for the Sports star of the year award for her achievements in tennis. 

 

How many years have you been a ball girl at the Aus Open? 

I have for 3 years now

 

What tennis player/match was your favourite to be a part of?  

Novak vs Carlos Alcaraz which was a quarter final on Rod Laver Arena

 

What was it like being so close to Novak?

 Pretty exciting and scary at the same time. He was a little bit bossy
