WOW what a big couple of weeks we have had! A warm welcome to the new families who have joined us and congratulations to the students who were selected to be a part of our Aggie family. It is a huge adjustment for our new boarding students who mostly seemed to have settled in well. We try our best not to bombard the students with a mass of information to begin with but there is a lot to know about life at Harvey Ag!

The last week has been enjoyed by students settling in and getting to know each other with dorm meetings and activities. Many have been taking advantage of the great facilities with the pool room being a popular choice. Some have started a gym routine onsite or opting to head into Harvey gym. This week saw the startup of town trips into Harvey for each year group on their designated days which is always popular. The afternoons and evenings have also seen many students getting back into their local sporting programs.

Last Weekend Activities

We started off the term with a fun filled weekend hosted by our wonderful Residential staff Sally and Rob. Friday night kicked off with a trip to Eaton Fair for some sneaky snacks and light shopping.

Saturday the students chose either to join Bill’s Harvey Highlight Bus Tour or Kayaking at Harvey Dam. Both parties had a great time meeting up again at the Harvey Dam for a picnic lunch. After lunch a group of students went to the Harvey Pool for a couple of hours whilst the remainder went back to College. The evening was spent relaxing, enjoying a few party games and lots of karaoke.

Sunday is generally quite a bit more relaxed and allows for a sleep in if preferred.  Some students chose to take up an offer to head into Treendale, while several students headed into the kitchen to cook with Sally in the afternoon.

Dorm Challenge

Sunday night was the first of our “Dorm Challenges”. Logue dorm was this week's winners and scored themselves a platter of sushi, congratulations! To stay updated on the results you can check out the HAC Chat. At the end of term an overall dorm winner will be announced.

Tom Curtain Outback Experience Today

Students staying in this weekend will be heading to Boar Swamp Campdraft  in Pinjarra for the Tom Curtain Outback Experience Tour Show. They will also have some other fabulous activities on offer over the weekend that I am sure they will love.

Everyone enjoy their weekend, I am sure the students will be ready for a sleep in after a big couple of weeks!
