A warm welcome to the College Community. We are looking forward to working with you to ensure this year is a successful one for all our students and that they can maximise the opportunities they have at the College and reach their potential.

Welcome to new Class staff

It is with pleasure that I welcome two new teachers to the Class staff for 2025. Ms Kay Williams is teaching English and Ms Beth Thompson is teaching Mathematics. They are both very experienced, highly motivated teachers and are already making a great contribution to our class team.

OLNA Schedule

Term One OLNA Testing for Year 11 and 12 students will commence in Week 4 (Wednesday the 26th February) and will conclude in Week 6 (Tuesday the 11th March). Please see the attached document for the specific schedule and information about the online practice tests that are available to assist students.

OLNA Tutorials

Year 11 and 12 students who are yet to pass one or more components of OLNA are encouraged to attend an OLNA tutorial on Tuesday evenings during prep with Mrs Pfitzner. Day students are very welcome to attend if they can but are asked to please let Mrs Pfitzner know that they plan to come back into the College for the tutorial.

Year 10 Physical Education

After a hot start to the school year the Year 10 students enjoyed going to the Harvey Swimming Pool during their lesson last Friday. What a great way to cool off! Students will be doing swimming in Physical Education classes for the next couple of weeks culminating in the Swimming Carnival on Wednesday the 26th February.

Head of Department (HOD) Class Role

As HOD Class, my role is to undertake the administrative requirements within the class area. This involves overseeing the delivery and assessment of all programs, monitoring student progress as well as being involved in the management of student behaviour within the class area.

Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher/s directly with queries about their child’s progress and behaviour in class. Parents are welcome to contact me regarding broader class matters or if they are not sure who is the best person to contact in a given situation.

I am looking forward to working with students, parents and carers as well as College staff to maximise student outcomes this year.
