Classroom Helpers Junior Classrooms (Prep to Year 2)

A home-school partnership is encouraged and valued at Good Shepherd  and we are committed to building a strong partnership with our parent community. Working as a classroom helper in your child/children's class is a fantastic way to be involved in the school. Classroom helpers would support the teacher in activities and tasks involving the students. If you are interested in becoming a classroom helper on a weekly or monthly basis please register to attend one of our induction sessions either in person on Monday 3rd March after assembly (9:30am) or online via Google Meet on Thursday 6th March at 7:30 pm.  Depending on the number of volunteers interested and the specialist timetables of the school we can not guarantee a specific time or day.

Due to the nature of classroom support and that we want to maximise all students learning opportunities in the school we ask that young children are not present when you are assisting in the classroom. 

All classroom helpers require a Working with Children check which will need to be documented at school.  To obtain a working with children, visit the following website: http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/
