First Day of Secondary School
We welcomed our Year 7 2025 cohort on Friday 31 January. There was some anxiety and apprehension, but also a sense of excitement, as the students and families waited outside the Wheeler Auditorium for the school day to begin.
We welcome back some of our 'Year 13 and Year 14 students' - former Nazareth students who graduated in 2023 and 2024. They will be with us in February to help the Year 7 students transition into secondary school.
VCE Visual Communication Design (Unit 3)
VCE Visual Communication Design (VCD) Unit 3 students have hit the ground running this semester with the submission of their Fast Start holiday homework drawings. They were given a range of different stimuli over the break to prepare them for the upcoming year in VCD. One student even undertook studies overseas to develop their skills using different media (paint). Please see below a range of the outstanding work from the Year 11s and 12s. They have set themselves up for a strong year in design and I have high hopes that they will achieve well.

Staff Training
The Nazareth Staff keep up-to-date with learning and teaching practices. We also have Professional Development sessions on wellbeing, Child Safety and First Aid.
Last week, staff members took part in practical CPR training.
Cambodia 2025
In January 2025, two dedicated Nazareth College staff members, Mrs Linda Smith and Ms Tatiana Vega, embarked on an inspiring journey to Cambodia to volunteer with the Global Transitions Foundation. During their time abroad, they worked side by side with local communities to help build a home for a family in need. Their hands-on involvement in this meaningful project reflects Nazareth’s commitment to global service, compassion, and social responsibility. We are proud of their dedication and look forward to hearing more about their transformative experience in Cambodia!
