Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth
Welcome back to the 2025 school year. Special mention to our 191 Year 7 students and their families that have officially started at Nazareth this year, along with the new students from Yr 8-12 and their respective families. We also welcome 17 new staff members, who will be introduced over the coming weeks in our fortnightly newsletter. Finally, welcome back to the rest of the School Community.
It has been a pleasurable start to the year, with some new processes in place this year. We have introduced a new bus route in the Endeavour Hills area. This bus still has vacancies, so if any parent/guardian would like to register, please contact the College Bus Administrator, Maria Kotsanis, via email maria.kotsanis@nazareth.vic.edu.au or ring the College on 9795 8100.
The temporary Canteen has been busy, serving students the usual delights. Although the transition sees short term change, this shouldn’t cause any inconvenience to our students. Shortly, we hope to introduce ‘NazEATS’, whereby students are able to preorder their food, which will then be ready for them to pick up immediately at the beginning of each break. The old Canteen area is now clear of any rubble and is fenced off ready for construction to commence in mid March. For all updates and visuals regarding this new project, I invite you to view my Community Video posted on the College Facebook page.
Finally, I would like to commend our families and the majority of our students for the manner in which they have commenced the new school year. We have clearly articulated our expectations and hope these will contribute towards achieving our communal goals, improve learning outcomes, allow each student to perform at their best and to also be attired correctly, as highlighted in our College Organiser. I am aware that this time of the year can be a bit challenging for some, however, I would like to convey that being part of the Nazareth College Community is not like a smorgasbord, where you can just choose what you like. It is about being involved in the whole package. Obviously, there may be some exceptions, however there are processes that need to be followed. I thank all students and families for their cooperation.
‘Together we can achieve so much!’
God Bless
Mr Sam Cosentino
