From the Classroom - (Miss Woodfield/Ms Kennedy M1)

What a great start to the year we have had in M1! We are all still getting to know each other and trying to find our feet, but we are having so much fun along the way. It has been such a joy getting to know each and every student over the past four weeks.

One of the main objectives of the first couple of weeks at school has been coming up with Classroom Agreements, morning routines and classroom expectations. The students in M1 have been very involved in the decision making process when it came time to work out what was important to them and their learning. It was wonderful to see such thought going into how our classroom would run.

While the above very important tasks have taken up a part of each day, we have also been busy revisiting the School Values, particularly that of Kindness, learning about patterns in the form of skip counting, shapes, colours and other objects, and making sure that we know what a successful sentence is and how to construct one.
