Year 7 Meet the Teacher
We hope that over the last few weeks your child has had a positive transition to Camden High School. Many students are now confident with navigating their timetables, catching the bus, wearing the correct uniform, and are Ready to Learn each day, in that they are prepared every lesson to be learners who are safe and respectful.
We acknowledge that the transition to high school is not always easy, and some students may still feel anxious about new routines or forming new friendships. Please note that if your child is struggling to make friends, the library is a safe place and is open every morning from 8:10am, at recess and lunch. There are scheduled activities in the library at break times which can help facilitate relationships. Please suggest this to your child if you think it would assist.
Year 7 parents and carers are also invited to our Meet the Teacher afternoon on Tuesday 11th March from 3:30pm-5pm upstairs in E block. It is an opportunity to meet your child's teachers in a relaxed setting. Please note that parent/carer teacher interviews are planned for term 2, allowing you to have more in-depth discussions about your child's progress.
Light refreshments will be provided at the Meet the Teacher afternoon, and we look forward to seeing you there.
