From the Principal

Term 1 of the 2025 school year at Camden High School has started at a rapid pace, and it has been fantastic to see our students return excited for a year of engaged and focused learning.
Year 7, as the newest members of our school community, have settled in well to high school life, and Year 11 are adjusting to the rigorous demands of senior study.
At Camden High School, our focus continues to be on learners who are respectful and safe, and as always, we have high expectations of our students. To support our students achieving their best every day, we are encouraging everyone to be Ready To Learn, using the 4 P’s.
All students have been issued with a mobile phone pouch. Phones are to be switched off and locked in pouches all day, including break times, to increase focus and learning, remove distractions and promote positive social interactions.
Students are expected to have a pen, paper (book) and planner on their desk at the start of every lesson. All students have been issued with a planner and Roll Call teachers are assisting students to develop the organisational skills to use these effectively.
Our school uniform makes us easily recognisable and it has been fantastic to see so many students showing their pride in belonging to Camden High School community by wearing the correct full school uniform, including black leather shoes. Our wider community has expectations of us, and it is important for students to remember that they are representatives of Camden High School at all times when wearing our uniform, including on our sport and early finish day, and before and after school.
In 2025 we will be travelling to Cowra for the annual Camden V Cowra exchange. A tradition that began in 1972, and that has continued for 53 years, the exchange is a unique opportunity that is highly valued by both schools. In order to be eligible for the privilege of representing Camden High School, students are expected to fulfill their responsibilities as learners who are respectful and safe, consistently meeting high standards of attendance, behaviour, work ethic, uniform and attendance at school carnivals. These eligibility criteria have been extensively communicated to students and will continue to be monitored up until the start of the exchange.
