Throughout the month of February, the Defence Club will be commemorating Purple Poppy Day on Tuesdays, honouring the animals who sacrificed their lives alongside our brave soldiers during wartime.
During our sessions, students will engage in various arts and crafts activities, including creating purple poppy stained glass to feature on the library windows. They’ll also be making purple poppies using apple halves and paint, with each student adding their unique design. Alongside this, we will be reading books and offering colouring-in activities, all of which will encourage conversations about the importance of caring for and appreciating our own animals at home.
Thursdays will continue to be a special treat day throughout the term, defence students and their friend will enjoy an icy cold treat.
We look forward to a meaningful month of learning and creativity.
