Back in Time Day

Back in Time Day: A Wonderful Celebration of Our School’s History

This past Monday, Aberfeldie Primary School took a trip back in time as part of our centenary celebrations. Our Back in Time Day was a resounding success, bringing history to life for our students and the wider school community. Throughout the day, students embraced the spirit of the 1920s, dressing in period attire and immersing themselves in what school life was like in 1925. From traditional lessons to learning about the history of our school, it was a fantastic opportunity for students to appreciate how education has evolved over the past century.

The celebrations continued into the afternoon with a lively after-school event, where students and their families participated in a range of classic games and activities from the past. The school grounds were filled with laughter and excitement as children tried their hand at marbles, hopscotch, skipping, elastics, yoyos, hoops, cornhole, quoits, and the always-popular egg and spoon races.

The event was a wonderful way to bring our school community together and celebrate 100 years of learning, growth, and tradition. A huge thank you to all the staff, students, and families who contributed to making this day so memorable. Your enthusiasm and participation truly made it a special occasion!

As we continue our centenary celebrations, we look forward to more opportunities to reflect on our rich history and create new memories for the future.
