Teaching & Learning  

Our teachers are currently busy assessing and reporting on your child's progress for Semester 1.  Student school reports will be open for viewing on COMPASS on Monday 30th June and we have scheduled our 3 Way Conferences for 31st July. This will provide an opportunity for teachers, students and parents to share and discuss learning growth and are areas for improvement.  I will open bookings on COMPASS for this on the first day back of Term 3.  This will be an alterative school day and no classes will operate on the day.  You will be asked to bring your child up with you at your scheduled time for the  3 Way Conference which will involve the classroom teacher, parent/career and the student.   Further information on this will be sent home next term.

Acting on parent feedback in 2024 to strengthen the home - school partnership and provide families with further information on their child's learning we have decided to create Student Learning Portfolios.   These are designed to share and celebrate students’ learning and growth throughout the year and will be sent home each term.  They will contain student work samples and/or assessment samples from both English and Maths. The portfolios will be sent home this term in Week 10 (week beginning 23rd June) and are and returned to school by the end of Term 2.  This is important so we can continue to add to their portfolio throughout the year.
