Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 students had an amazing time on their camp this week at Camp Kelly. Some very excited boys departed on Wednesday morning for their two-night experience. Equally as excited were the parents who enjoyed a ‘high-5’ as the bus drove off down the road.

Throughout the three days and two nights staff witnessed resilience, persistence, brotherhood and empathy from all our boys. In the current school climate, school camps are on the decline; however, at Trinity we value the importance of a camp and the benefits which come with a school camp experience.  As well as developing teamwork and problem-solving skills, camp also provides our boys with the valuable skill of independence. While being independent at camp may be challenging for some boys, the growth they experience through these challenges will help them become better versions of themselves.

It was wonderful to witness all the activities the boys completed, such as raft building, the navigation challenge, flat water rafting and the newspaper runway challenge!

My thanks are extended to the staff who sacrificed time away from their families to make this such a memorable experience for the students. Your enthusiastic and passionate approach ensured that the boys were comfortable, safe and willing to try attempt new challenges.

Year 4 Eucharist Retreat

Today, the Year 4 boys had a truly memorable experience during their Eucharist retreat, led by the Youth Ministers from 24/7 Youth Ministry. The Youth Ministers shared their insights and personal faith journeys, inspiring the students.

Throughout the day, the boys worked in small groups, deepening their understanding of the Sacrament of the Eucharist and reflecting on their faith. It was a day filled with prayer, reflection, and meaningful activities, providing a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth.
