A focus upon driving continuous school improvement
Once again, the start of the year has been a huge success for our Parent Association.
We started the term with a number of new parents and volunteers joining our Parent Association, and encourage any other interested parents to reach out and find out what is on offer when you come become involved in helping support your child’s school.
Below are just a few of our Term One highlights:
Easter Raffle: ticket sales also raised over $720 for the school, with classroom winners announced at our end of term assembly. Our school-wide major prize winners were:
1st prize Jed I- Class 1B
2nd prize Judd S- Class 56C
3rd prize Spencer B- Class 1A
All Parent Association funds raised in 2025 are going towards the development of open learning spaces surrounding our community stage area, with astro-turf and additional seating planned for outside of classrooms; providing recreational and learning spaces which are accessible for all students.

Term Two promises to be an exciting term for our students, with the following events now available for viewing in our Compass Calendar:
Joining the PA is a great way to get involved and make a difference in our school. We have many exciting fundraising opportunities on the horizon and would love to have you on board. Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a little, every bit helps and is greatly appreciated. No experience is needed - just a current Working with Children's Check and a willingness to contribute to our community.
As always, thank you for supporting the Parents Association. If you have any questions or feedback regarding any past or future events, please feel free to contact our Parent Association President (Jess) via email: upweysouthpta@gmail.com
We run Breakfast Club to ensure our students can have a healthy and happy start to their school day. All students and families are invited to enjoy some toast, cereal and fruit from 8:30am each Friday morning.
Volunteers wanted! If you are available 8 - 9am Fridays and have a WWCC, we'd love your help. No ongoing commitment expected.

We could not run our breakfast club without the ongoing support of Foodbank Victoria.
In Victoria material aid and food relief had commenced in 1930, with the State Relief Committee responding to widespread distress caused by the Great Depression. In 2006, the then Victorian Relief Committee merged with Foodbank to become VicRelief Foodbank. It formally changed its name to Foodbank Victoria in 2011.
QKR - please ensure your child/ren has the correct classroom on your QKR profile. This must be updated by parents yearly.
