Learning Reflection

During our phonics lesson we were practising the digraphs 'sh' and 'ch'. Students have learnt that a digraph is 2 letters that make 1 sound. We are also practising our handwriting as we practice writing our words. 

As part of our Reading and Writing learning students have been reading the book 'Elmer'. We have constructed sentences and focussed on the subject and predicate. 

We have been enjoying reading the book Elmer. We were given the challenge of unscrambling sentences about Elmer. 

We are creating a personal book about 'The Zones of Regulation'. When we are in the 'Red Zone' we can feel angry. We are deciding which strategies can help us when we are in each zone. Check out our 'angry' faces! 

In Mathematics number bods are a fun way of learning how to find the total of two numbers. We can use the commutative rule for addition problems

Digraphs, heart words and sharing our writing are all part of our Literacy Block. 

                                   Working as a team to build tunnels in the sandpit during recess. 

                                  It has been a long term! Have a safe and restful break!
