Greetings from the Green Team!

We’d like to thank everyone who recycled their uncrushed cans and bottles at the fete. 

We collected a trailer load of cans. Our target was 3000 cans. We didn’t reach our target but we collected more than last year.

In total, we collected:

122 glass bottles

894 aluminium cans 

61 P.E.T. containers

277 hard plastic containers

2 steel containers

7 liquid paper boards

Altogether, that equals 1,363 containers. That adds up to $136.30 we raised for our school.

An enormous thanks must go to Andrea and Tim (Theo A’s parents) for kindly loaning their trailer for the fete, and to Andrea and Theo for delivering all the cans to the Container Deposit drop-off point on the Monday morning after the fete.

Thanks also to Donna for helping organise the can collection bins and for helping with the signage.

If you want to donate your own empty containers to the school, just bring them to the front office.
