EASTER REMINDS US DEATH IS NOT THE END

As we celebrate the joy of Easter, we’re reminded of one of the most beautiful truths of our Catholic faith: death is not the end of the story—it's the beginning of something even greater.

When Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday, He showed us that God’s love is stronger than death. The tomb was not the end for Jesus, and it’s not the end for us either.

Catholics believe that when we die, our souls live on, and if we stay close to God in this life, we’ll be with Him forever in the next. That’s what we mean when we talk about eternal life—a life that never ends, full of love, peace, and joy with God.

Currently, our school community is in the process of saying goodbye to not only Our Holy Father Pope Francis, but also to our beloved teacher, friend and colleague —Mr. Daniel Bau. His kindness, generosity, and faith touched many lives, and while we feel the sadness of these passings, we hold on to the Easter promise: that this is not goodbye forever

We believe that both Mr. Bau and Pope Francis have begun a new life with God, and that one day, we will see them again.

Jesus said:

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even if they die, will live.” – John 11:25

So this Easter season, let’s remember: Jesus is alive—and because of Him, we have the promise of eternal life. Every time we love, forgive, and trust in God, we are preparing our hearts for the joy of being with Him forever.

A Prayer for Mr Bau

Loving God, Thank You for the gift of Easter and the hope of eternal life. We pray especially for Mr. Bau, that he may rest in Your peace and rise in Your glory. Help us to live with faith and love, knowing that one day, we will be together again with You. Amen.

 A Prayer for Pope Francis

Loving God,

In your wisdom you chose Pope Francis to be your servant and lead your Church on earth. We give thanks for his faithful service to your Son, Jesus Christ, in his time on earth as priest, bishop, and pope. Having served your Church in his life, we pray that he may now share fully in the Easter mystery, the resurrection of Christ and his entrance into heaven. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
