Policy and Advisory Library (PAL) Updates for Term 1, 2025

If you missed the information in a recent School Update, please note that several key policies have been updated throughout the term. 

Key policy updates include:

Annual Report to the School Community  - the protocol allowing school council presidents to access the Strategic Planning Online Tool (SPOT) for confirming council endorsement of the Annual Report has been removed. Instead, the principal, as the executive officer of the school council, will complete the attestation following council endorsement. 

Conflict of Interest has refreshed policy and guidance material. The updated policy has new obligations related to Declarations of Private Interest, including managerial oversight to support conflict of interest identification. 

Finance Manual – Financial Management for Schools  reflects updated requirements for schools. 

Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management in Schools has new information about the Statewide OHS Services Team and how schools can access hands-on support to complete OHS and Emergency Management tasks.
