INTERSCHOOL  SUMMER  SPORT 

Congratulations to our Grade 6 interschool sport teams on a wonderful year of summer sport. 

We had four teams in the grand finals on Friday 1st December. The Cricket team and Hot Shots Tennis Team beat Bentleigh West Primary School. Our Circleball team had a narrow loss to Bentleigh West by a close 1 goal. Our rounders team lost to Moorabbin, but both teams put in their best efforts. 

Thanks must go to all our coaches for their efforts with their teams over the course of the year. To our grade 6 students, you have represented our school very well, always showing dedication to your team and outstanding sportsmanship and teamwork.

 Well done!

NATIONAL  TRACK  AND  FIELD  RESULTS

Congratulations to Archie and Marcus Sideridis on competing at the SSA National Track and Field Championships in Launceston.

Marcus Sideridis - 10 year old boys

1500-m Final - 2nd 

Marcus broke the previous record.

800-m Final - 3rd  

Marcus placed 3rd in the heat to qualify for the final.

Archie Sideridis  - 12 year old boys 

1500-m  - 1st 

800-m - 8th 

Unfortunately, Archie got tripped at the bell and couldn't recover.

Archie placed 1st in the heat to qualify for the final.

4 x 100-m combine relay - 3rd.

An outstanding effort, boys! We look forward to watching your bright futures on the Track. 

This was Archie’s final representation for Valkstone. It has been a pleasure watching your incredible achievements and dedication over the years and we look forward to seeing what you can achieve in your future at secondary school.
