Turtle Art Tiles Project
The Year 8 “Inventiveness” class undertook a complex, cross curricular “bits to atoms” project this semester.
The students began by designing interesting and artistic geometric shapes in Turtle Art. They then exported an SVG of their shape into Tinkercad, a popular 3D design program. From Tinkercad they saved an STL file which enabled them to 3D print the shape. Next, they used the shape to imprint a clay tablet and finally they painted the tablet.
