BPS TAEKWONDO CLUB SHINES AT CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Sunday 19th November the BPS Taekwondo club hosted an inter-club championships. With students attending from across the state, 26 students from the BPS Taekwondo club participated.

Students competed across 4 events designed to test their technique and knowledge. The events were-sparring, high kick, speed kick and formwork.

This was the first time the event has been held since COVID and for most of the students their first time to challenge themselves against opponents in the arena. I am very proud of the students for taking on the challenge and participating in the event with great energy and enthusiasm.

The initial nerves were quickly replaced by determined focus and concentration as the students put all their energy into performing at their best.  They kicked, jumped, punched and fought their way through a fun packed day. Their great efforts were recognised by the visiting judges with many students achieving a personal best. The day was a great success with all the students finishing the day with medals, fantastic smiles and desire to come back and do it again next year!

The BPS Taekwondo club trains every Friday night during the school term in the gym from 3:45pm.
