Principal's Report

Flexible. Resilient. Positive. 2023

What an amazing year we have had at Rangeview! Our school has grown across the year and our events and activities have stretched and adapted to suit our communities needs.

In the last two weeks we have had the Grade 4 Girls Hoop Time State Final and the Level 5/6 Hoop Time State Final, Level 6 State Wide Orientation Day, the Level 1 & 2 Bug Ball, Instrumental Music Piano Concerts, our final 2024 Foundation Transition session, the whole school transition sessions, Level 6 Graduation, the Whole School Carols event, and the Level 3 Camp!

The richness of our teaching and learning is a direct result of the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication, of our amazing teaching staff, our caring ES staff, our passionate leadership team, and our fantastic parent/carer community. Thank you all for making the school what it is.

Staffing for 2024

As we reach the end of the year we always have some staff looking for changes, and often some looking to return - after a change or some family leave.

We congratulate April Warfield on her successful move into the Principal Class for 2024. April will be the Assistant Principal at Pinewood Primary School in Mount Waverly from the start of Term 1.  We wish her all the best in this exciting new role.

We also congratulate Stephanie Wood, Dale Bateup and Tim Powell who are all moving to new teaching roles for 2024 at other schools. We thank them for their work at Rangeview - they will be missed.

Level 3 Camp

From the 6th to the 8th of December our Level 3 students attended Camp ADANAC in Yarra Junction. The students participated in a huge range of activities such as archery, water slides, Frisbee Golf, Flying Fox and Low Ropes courses. The success of the camp was due to the passion and diligence of the staff who attended; Amber Keramidas, Dani Anderson, Luke McDonald, Vicki Tzimos, Mitch Clark, Maddy Beet, Alex Campbell, Kate McLeod and myself.

A massive thank you to the parents who came with us Amanda Dan, Swee Shin Foo, Simon Tuchinsky and James Sutherland.

A fabulous time was had by all, and the person who fell in the lake while canoeing was not a parent or a student or a teacher.......

Grade 6 Graduation

On Tuesday night this week we held our Level 6 Graduation Ceremony. Our wonderful Level 6 students attended in their finery and we celebrated the end of their Primary School journey. There was a number of special awards and moments of recognition and every student was celebrated through images and a wonderful graduation video curtesy of Mitch Clark and Megan Campbell.

I would like to thank the Level 6 team for their efforts throughout the year working with these amazing young people. Kate Wallis, Tim Powell, Natalie, Morrissey, Sam Anderson, Tegan Cant, Kelly James, April Warfield, David Torr, Meg Hubbard, Lisa Janes and Josh Godwin. A special thanks to the Level 5 parents who supported the graduation night and the Level 6 parents on the Graduation Committee. My final thanks go to Tegan Cant and Kelly James who organised the ran this event.

I believe we reached the stars.....
