Grade 3/4 Camp

On Wednesday I got to school about 8:00 and then got on the bus.

We got to Anglesea about 12:30 and played some games inside.

On Thursday I did the vertical challenge and then we did the giant swing. I was the guinea pig and went first. I went all the way to the top. Then we did the Inverlochy Challenge.

On Friday I went canoeing and did radio rogaine before coming home.

On Wednesday the 29th of November 2023, grade 3/4 of Echuca Twin Rivers Primary School made their way to the YMCA Discovery Camp, Anglesea. When they arrived at camp it was raining. Everyone grabbed their bags and went to the gymnasium. For the first hour and a half they met the YMCA instructors and played some fun games. Shortly after, all the students settled into their cabins before dinner. The food was really YUM!

Everyone enjoyed camp so much. Some of the more adventurous activities were the Giant Swing and the Vertical Challenge. These two activities really tested our resilience.

Overall, it was a great camp. Hanging out with classmates, enjoying delicious food and getting out of our comfort zone.

Thank you to the YMCA staff, teachers and educators who supported us and made this camp one to remember.

Didjeribone

5th December

Didjeribone performance

On Tuesday the 5th of December every one from the ETRPS went to the centre for a Didgeribone performance by Tjupurru .

He came to visit our school from Cairns, in Queensland. He joked that he is from 'Kingsland'.

He told us many different jokes and most people had a laugh. He played us the Didjeribone, it was a very cool sound it has a different sound to the didgeridoo because it has an other pipe in it.

He used a face base to listen to the sound that comes out of your mouth, its not a microphone but you can hear many different sounds from it. He got 7 volunteers from smallest prep grade 1,2,3,4,5 and tallest boy and girl from grade 6. He put the human instrument on them that he had made. It made six different sounds .

It went for one hour and we all had lots off fun!!!!!
