Principal Update

There are not many tickets left for the APS Trivia night! 

Saturday 7 September is the date. From all accounts it will be a fun social night out for parents to enjoy. If you are wanting a ticket don’t hesitate or you may miss out. We had the new 3/4 play equipment installed this week and it looks amazing. The process started last year when we sought student voice about what they wanted to see in new equipment. They researched and surveyed students to gather ideas and then worked through the process of three quotes and which design provided us with the best playing opportunities. These photos show some of the Playground Team being the first ones on the equipment. It will be open to the students early next week. This was possible due to the Fair money from this year and fundraising from the last couple of years. Thanks everyone! 

Tomorrow is our Book Week celebration and I know there is a lot of excitement about costumes and also the people visiting. Grandparents and Special People in our student’s lives are invited to join us. The parade will begin at 9am and then the classrooms are open to parents/ visitors to join in class activities. This has been well publicised through the newsletter, classrooms, Compass and the library team at assembly. It is certainly one of the highlights of the year to enjoy.

Every year we review some of our policies and seek feedback from the community. On our website we post the policies and if you have some feedback to provide please contact the office. Thanks in advance for any families who choose to do this.

The parent/caregiver survey is still able to be completed and at this time we have 37 families who have completed the survey.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from groups who may wish to hire the gym on weeknights. Each year we conduct a process to ensure that we have hirers in place that service the school well. If you know of an interested group please let them know the process and form will be located on the website and needs to be completed by the end of this term.
